About David Cooper
About David Cooper……
David’s story started about 35 years ago when he trained in carpentry.
David started his career by making bespoke kitchen and bedroom units. An opportunity then arose to renovate narrow boats which widened his skill set immensely.
David spent the next 6 years working on Narrow Boats in Bradford-On-Avon Marina. During this period he also undertook projects for the Canal Trust. Undoubtedly he was awarded these due to his well respected reputation for quality of workmanship and reliability. Most of the projects were whilst the boats remained on water. So this meant it was imperative that he worked to precise measurements and angles. After all, you cannot use a level on water. The next stage in his career was to secure a City & Guilds qualification in plumbing.
David’s career took a big step forward when he moved into property development. One of his first projects was to convert a 17th century public house built into a hillside, into 5 stunning cottages. Most recently David has been renovating an eighteenth century cottage. He has a strong passion for restoring the beauty of historic homes to bring them back to life. Whilst at the same time making them suitable for 21st century living.
Most importantly David will always be on site and undertakes the majority of work himself.
As a consequence of his reputation, most of his work is gained through referrals and repeat business. Check out the extensive portfolio of work which demonstrates his expertise and creativity.
